Tamar Bikashvili received a PhD degree in Biology from Ivane Beritashvili Institute of Physiology (2002). She started her scientific career at the Central Research Laboratory of Tbilisi State Medical University. After completing Post-graduate Courses at the Ivane Beritashvili Institute of Physiology, she started working in the same institute as a junior scientist (1994-2002). Then she was a research associate, a senior scientist, and currently she is the Head of the Neurotoxicology Laboratory of the Ivane Beritashvili Center of Experimental Biomedicine and Professor at New Vision University. Tamar Bikashvili is the author of more than 60 scientific publications. She was the Principal Investigator and key personal of several scientific grant projects, co-organizer of international scientific workshops and symposia, participated in many international scientific conferences. In her research, she uses various morphological techniques: different types of Light Microscopy and Electron Microscopy.
Dr. Bikashvili is a reviewer for Springer Publisher Journals. She is a member of several international scientific organizations: European Federation of Neuroscientists – FENS, International Brain Organization – IBRO, American Society of Scientists Sigma-Xi.
